Having returned from sabbatical in Stuttgart Germany in 1977 and after experiencing the wonderful beers of central Europe, Dr. Bev Robertson, then a University of Regina physics professor, vowed to never again consume the bland, uncreative and inferior products of his homeland. Born of frustration, disappointment and protest, his desire for quality brews devoid of adjunct/filler materials and complacency, would propel him to become a leading pioneer in the western Canadian craft-beer movement.
