Memorable Moustaches

Stouche, duster, soup strainer, cookie duster, push broom…. The Moustache comes in many different names and many different forms. In the month of November it doesn’t matter. Men unite and let the upper lip buck wild, all for the sake of raising awareness for prostate cancer. Here at AdSpark we fully embrace “Movember” and are participating in it ourselves.

In recognition of Movember, I have compiled a list of the most memorable moustaches in my life.  These ‘stashes stick out in my mind as some of the most recognizable, iconic and personally significant moustaches of the past 24 years.

Tom Selleck

Thomas Magnum himself. I can’t think of a role in which Tom Selleck does not sport a moustache, so much so I wouldn’t be surprised if he insured his glorious stouche.

Super Mario

Mario and his moustache have been jumping on koopas for the last 30 years.  In fact take a look at the picture of Mario without moustache below. I can guarantee that anyone, seasoned gamer or not would spot the misstep.

Ned Flanders

A memorable moustache that transcends the animated series. Ned’s moustache is so iconic Peter Budaj (backup goaltender for the Montreal Canadiens) has it on the back of his mask.

Adam Morrison

You’ve got to give this guy credit for trying.  This Gonzaga graduate sported a scraggly moustache in the 2006 NCAA Tournament. He received a lot of flack and criticism for this, but he stuck with it.  Good on em.

Steve Yang

From the day of my birth until about the age of 17 my father rocked a moustache.  It was a great moustache; thick, bushy and full of character. I can still recall the dark day that my dad shaved it away and let his upper lip breath. Frankly I can’t really blame the guy, moustaches are messy and he was often mistaken for Mr. Miyagi, which would be extremely frustrating at airports and family events.  All in all this moustache sticks out in my mind as a shimmering beacon of hope that one day I could grow a moustache of this caliber!
